The tall Fir Tree from the forests of Forni di Sopra to the Udine Hospital is a hope against the pandemic
“Confcommercio Udine” shared the location of the tree with the General Management of the Udine Hospital “Santa Maria della Misericordia”. The tree was supplied by Legnolandia and the Community of Forni di Sopra and placed at the entrance of the new Hospital at the Hall 15.
The contribution of Mr. Angelo Marzullo was very important. Now he is a company manager in Milan, but he still keeps Udine in his heart. In memory of his parents, Antonino and Elida, who recently passed away, Angelo left an important legacy to “Confcommercio Udine” (which will pay for the lighting) to be used for the different expenses related to the initiative. “My father has always been keen to improve the city, in particular the historic city center - he explained -. I'm far away from Udine but I felt like I was staying by the side of the traders who keep the streets and squares in Udine alive ».
“The tree is donated with the hope of bringing a thought of closeness to those people who have been engaged for months with their work to fight the pandemic - commented the president of Legnolandia Mr. Marino De Santa - and to support those who are affected by the disease, so that they can take from the tree an example of resilience against bad weather, included the virus”.
