The contribution of Mr. Angelo Marzullo was very important. Now he is a company manager in Milan, but he still keeps Udine in his heart. In memory of his parents, Antonino and Elida, who recently passed away, Angelo left an important legacy to “Confcommercio Udine” (which will pay for the lighting) to be used for the different expenses related to the initiative. “My father has always been keen to improve the city, in particular the historic city center - he explained -. I'm far away from Udine but I felt like I was staying by the side of the traders who keep the streets and squares in Udine alive ».

The almost 10-meter high fir will be transported by the Company Midolini s.p.a. The idea of the tree in front of the hospital comes from the district of “Confcommercio Udine”. "I immediately agreed with it - declared the provincial president Mr. Giovanni Da Pozzo - and I have worked to make it happen. In such a difficult year for everyone, we like to give a sign of closeness to the patients and their relatives who care for them ». "In a context when the economy is brought to its knees by the restrictions coming from the spread of the virus - added the district president Mr. Giuseppe Pavan -, let's not forget the health side, with a system severely tested by heavy workloads, and people who struggle with difficulties every day an invisible enemy

The general director Asu Fc Mr. Massimo Braganti thanked everybody who have allowed this initiative. “We trust that this Christmas tree can be a symbol of strength and hope for all patients and for our operators who are daily engaged in this fight. All together we want to get out of this situation as soon as possible and the thought of an illuminated tree and Christmas always evoke feelings of serenity and the time spent with loved ones, moments that we hope to relive as soon as possible”.

“The tree is donated with the hope of bringing a thought of closeness to those people who have been engaged for months with their work to fight the pandemic - commented the president of Legnolandia Mr. Marino De Santa - and to support those who are affected by the disease, so that they can take from the tree an example of resilience against bad weather, included the virus”.
