Cigarette smoking is increasingly banned in public places frequented by people, especially in long-term places, such as beaches, beach resorts, urban parks. There is a need to find a solution for those who do not want to give up the cigarette.
The smoke-corners are the ideal solution to create confined spaces and accessible to all within which you can smoke.
The idea was born to design and produce a series of areas equipped for smokers. These are small spaces equipped with everything you need to stay alone or in company to smoke, remaining in any case in the context of the beach, park or public area that you are frequenting.
Smoke Corners equipment complete with everything
Areas equipped for smokers, also called Smoke Corners or Smoke-Free areas, may include some benches, tables with built-in ashtrays, paths and pavements that allow access even to users with disabilities, a table with instructions for use of the area and the effigies, flags, signs of the beach or park equipped.
Furniture for beach smoking
The outdoor spaces for smokers, Smoke Corners, can be combined with choschi – beach chalets or placed in more secluded places without special needs, the smoking equipment is placed directly on the ground without building works. Since they are furnishing elements, in most cases they are not subject to special permits for installation.
In the beaches or in very sunny places, the smoking corners can be equipped with wooden umbrellas that allow the shading of the sudute and furniture of the smoke corner area. The use of wood in the construction of smoking areas on the beaches, a renewable material par excellence, allows to reduce CO2 emissions and reduce the environmental impact of plastic.
The equipment for smoking areas is completed with a fence with the function of delimiting the space intended for the “Smoke Free”, the fence can be customized in shape and color.
Size of Smoke Free areas
The optimal dimensions of the areas equipped for smokers are about 15-20 square meters, but in case of limited space available you can reduce the spaces by inserting furniture and accessories for smokers more compact while maintaining the functionality of the area.
Legnolandia proposes areas made using wood from the “Filiera Solidale“, an initiative launched by PEFC Italia following the storm “Vaia” last October that cut down thousands of trees in the north-east of Italy. The artifacts are also produced using exclusively energy from renewable sources avoiding harmful emissions.
